Better than expected

Great movie about being yourself and not changing who you are, despite pressure from others. My 11 year old loved it.

Authenticity versus group think at its best.

This movie was the pure innocence of children groomed by the hardness of life visualized in a beautiful movie aimed at helping us remember that it is ok to be yourself. It is ok to be different. It is good to be kind. And it is good to be an optimist. The theme could be easily be understood by someone younger than 10, however, I feel that it is more practical for those moving into the 'tween years. Perhaps it will encourage them to remember how good marching to the beat of their own drum can feel and how their authenticity is what will resonate with and be remembered most by others.
