Adult movie in disguise

So disappointing. We began watching it because I referred to this website and read their review. I wish I would’ve taken time to read all the parent reviews first! I usually appreciate common sense’s opinion, but the fighting in this movie was way more than I thought it would be based on the review. It was also too confusing for our 4 yr old son to follow, most “funny” things were above his head. And the comment one of the construction workers made about going to the sports bar after work to “have some chicken wings and get crazy.” Seriously? Over our kid’s head, but what kind of message is that sending, especially since I don’t want to glorify going out and getting drunk to my innocent child. That was the only part he thought was funny before we shut it off 38 minutes in. Where are the good movies for kids without so much darkness and killing? I told my husband it was just like one of the movies he enjoys disguised as a kid’s movie.

This is a fantastic movie. Probably my all time favorite kids film. But it's not appropriate for very young kids. Need to be able to handle chase scenes, shooting, characters in danger, etc.
